FFT system C project - 8 point FFT using DIT algorithm.

  1. The test-bench injects three simple cases to the FFT design: two square waves and a up going ramp. This is shown nicely by the analog option of the free VCD viewer, gtkwave (GTK wave useful links) .




  2. Both the design and the reference models gets the same input. The result from each of them is printed and compared in a table.

  3. There are two refernce models. One uses the fast FT algorithm. This one was downloaded from the WEB. The second I simply wrote and it does not use the fats FT algorithm. The results are shown below:


  4. The accuracy of the results can be improved by increasing the multiply factor. Please see example at: FFT accuracy issues .
